JUNE PLATINUM ACHIEVER LEVEL

At 30 years of age Mariska Steyn was able to retire from her job as a designer and stared to paint. Although she was working for herself, Amway has enabled her to reach this major goalpost in her life. Kobus has set a goal for himself to be so successful in his Amway business, that he too can retire from the corporate world. Kobus has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Mariska has qualifications in Fine Art, Communication Design and Public relations.

The couple lives in Rustenburg where Kobus is working as a Project Manager at one of the largest Mining Houses in South Africa. Before Kobus took this position the Steyn’s had their own business, but when Kobus moved into the corporate world, Mariska moved her office to their home.

Mariska says: “We were introduced to the Amway business in April 2004. This happened after we were married for about five months, and then already we were looking at getting more out of life than our conventional business could give us.

“We are both extremely driven and committed, and we do not want to live mediocre lives. Platinum is a huge stepping stone for us, and it has given us the courage to go beyond our limitations and to achieve even greater levels in this business.”

For the past 20 years Joshua has been working as a mechanical engineer, but the long hours and stressful work conditions changed when he gave the Amway Business Opportunity a chance in June 2006.

Joshua says: “My major hurdle was confidence and belief that the business works and can work for me, but I soon realised that it worked for anyone who was prepared to put the effort in. Reaching Platinum is the beginning. My next goal is to reach the Emerald pin within the next 12 months.”

Joshua cherishes the Amway Opportunity as it has brought a new lease on life. The business has brought freedom with the understanding that it takes very little financial commitment and virtually no overheads. He realises that achieving this level is a significant milestone on the road to financial and ‘time’ freedom. It proves that success is guaranteed if one applies the correct mind-set and commitment to the business.

Joshua feels that it is important to communicate to others that anyone who is willing to invest some of their spare time in the business; can work towards success. This business can be the key to make all your dreams come true, you just need to do your part.

Kabelo and Wisisane Motswagole’s family were suffering from a lack of time to spend together and they were missing out on quality time with each other before they joined the business in October 2006.

They explain: “We started this business in October 2006. We were attracted by the possibility that the business could help us have time and financial freedom. Our family life was really suffering because of a lack of together time. Being a self-employed teacher and managing an engineering consulting firm are both very demanding jobs, and it kept the family for more than 14 hours every day. Thanks to this business we have realised that the most important thing in the world is family. when we look back, we are proud to say that our family life has improved tremendously. “We have also been successful in our business, through the support of our other team members and the ongoing support we receive from the Amway Corporation. Reaching this level has really shown us that if we keep working consistently and helping others we will all achieve our goals and our dreams.

“This is an unbelievable business; we are getting paid for using the products we love and sharing the quality and joy with others. We have now set a goal to reach Emerald in the next two years.”
