"The most important challenge building this business is just keeping at it!"

Steve and Suzanne Ayres have been part of the Amway business for the past year and a half. Many different levels of the Amway business opportunity and becoming independent business owners was what attracted them to the business. The flexibility of the business appealed to Suzanne as it allowed her to not only have a professional career and income, but also spend time with their children. Working within the Amway business opportunity also allowed them to put retirement options in place.

As the Ayres say, 'Before joining the Amway business we were leading a normal successful corporate lifestyle, working for large businesses owned by other people. On the surface, a good life, but most importantly we didn't have any real long-term sustainability plans. The most important challenge building this business is just keeping at it! Since reaching platinum were have realised anybody who remains consistent can do it. Persistence certainly does pay off.'

To the Ayres it is an inspiration to reach higher levels in the business. It has also given them insight into themselves and their Amway journey has become an eye-opening experience in terms of personal growth.

As (ex) skydivers they love the adrenalin rush of taking a leap of faith into the wide world of opportunity. Their next immediate focus is to stay on track for the Leadership Training Seminar in Hawaii and then to continue to grow an awesome business. More personal growth, love and understanding for people around them and putting in only their best to reach higher levels.

As parents of two awesome little girls Jodie (8) and Georgia (6) they are taking a leap of faith into a wide-open world of opportunity, one that also provides flexible working hours, team leverage and has in place a phenomenal business structure.

Marinda Bandat & Stephanie Pond
Biokineticist and Video Producer

Marinda and Stephanie (Steph) have been building their independent Amway business and have reached platinum within nine months. As Marinda testifies, 'We made a conscious decision to build the business fast, be teachable and be a 100 percent 'sold out' to our upline and leadership.'

As the co-owner of seven other businesses, Miranda felt that she was owned by 'her' businesses and felt that there must be an answer to this catch-22 situation! Steph has been with the University of Pretoria for 28 years.

They share an active lifestyle and are keen golfers. Starting up they wanted to focus on the Amway opportunity and eliminate distractions; their vision was to build the business fast and effectively. For the time being they gave up golf and from where they are standing now, they know that putting golf on hold, has been a small sacrifice, and that they will be able to play on any course they can dream of within two to three years.

Reaching Platinum has raised their level of belief in the Amway business opportunity and their team; and with reaching each milestone; they know that they have also acquired personal growth. It has also become very important to see the entire team achieve success and individual members achieve their goals: it has truly brought about living more than just, an ordinary, insignificant life. As they say, 'Amway is the only business where every person has an equal opportunity to become 'a somebody'. It excites us to see people believing, hoping and dreaming again.'

Marinda and Steph have set their goals on reaching Emerald in the next fiscal year. They are a close-knit family who loves to spend time together. Marinda's mom and step dad stay with them, providing an incredible support system to them and Marinda's two children.

Mogomotsi & Dolly Bontsibokae
High School Teacher & Student
Mochudi, Botswana

"We left the comfort of our home and office to reach out to other people, and through this achieved extra-ordinary success"

When introduced to the Amway business plan during 2004, Mogomotsi and Dolly Bontsibokae were desperately looking for an alternative income, they were even selling and trying out alternative direct selling products.

They are a couple with big dreams, and the more success they achieve, the bigger the dream grows. During 1994 they were living off one pay cheque and life was a challenge, one that they immediately felt could be met by getting involved in the Amway business opportunity.

They saw that with hard work and commitment they could change their circumstances over the short term and even more radically over the long term. The Amway business was a tangible opportunity to make a difference to their lifestyle. As an added bonus it became a journey that has also brought about personal growth, hope and an increased believe in their ability to reach success after success. Reaching silver, then gold and now platinum is inspiring them to reach for the highest levels in Amway, to go for Diamond and beyond.

To the Bontsibokaes there are many bonuses to their income through Amway. One of the most important ones is spending time with their son. The other is to be part of the blessed Botswana Amway family circle, including all the different teams. They appreciate working with people that are always reaching for their dreams, people who operate with integrity and honesty.

As the Bontsibokaes say, 'Amway is a global business that operates with a brilliant motto: help someone succeed in order for you to be successful. Create a reservoir when there is still time to dig, don't wait for the drought to come before you realise that you need water.'
