What inspired E.Funkhouser™ New York: Collection 007: StreamlineAmagram:
Streamline?
Eddie Funkhouser: It was an unusual mix of things! But through my research,
I kept coming back to the beautiful simplicity found in the streamline aesthetic
of the late 1930's art deco period. I recognised that there is a sleek
sexiness in the elongated lines and beautifully refined, rounded shapes
of the streamline style. You can see it in cars, trains, buildings, every
day objects and art of the period. For me, it is an elegant and feminine
design style.
A: Do you have a favorite EFNY product or a collection?
EF: It's so hard to pick a favorite! I am in love with the products in Collection
007; they really reflect the streamline theme as a whole.
A: That's true. Many of the components in the line already possess
streamline attributes. What products are you really excited about in Collection
007?

A: I can't argue with that! What is one thing you want to convey
to women about feeling beautiful?
EF: Confident women are beautiful women. It is important for a woman to
know herself, which, in turn, allows her to grow as a person. Confident
women are courageous, daring, and bold; this is where true beauty lies.
I always keep this in mind when creating a new collection.
