THE
LOOK OF LUXURY |
 |

Never
on one continent for more than a week at a time, OvD's travels
inspire his uniquely intuitive and intellectual take on brand building.
First appearing on the beauty radar at the age of 31 when he became
Creative Director of Lancôme, he partnered with Isabella Rossellini
and later Nick Knight. His more recent work for Jennifer Lopez, Calvin
Klein, and Swarovski are all a testament to his diverse, dynamic vision.
With an unerring aesthetic eye, OvD has transformed the way we see
beauty. Always pushing boundaries, OvD is currently the President
and Worldwide Creative Director of SelectNY, one of today's most
watched international luxury branding agencies in the world.

Always intent on inventing a new vocabulary for beauty,
creative director and internationally recognized industry visionary
Olivier van Doorne shares his insights on the new ARTISTRY™
Creme LuXury packaging. Between his constant travels we caught OvD,
as he's known to his friends, on set for the ARTISTRY Fall 2007
photoshoot in New York City. "When I started this project I was
inspired to create something truly unique, beautiful, and artistic,
yet simple at the same time," OvD remarks. Holding the soon-to-be-launched
ARTISTRY Creme LuXury in his hand, his reaction was immediate. "We've
taken the brand into the future and this is what it looks like,"
he enthused, "encapsulated in very cool, modern package design."
As a result, the new sophisticated, sleek, luxury packaging is like
none other on the prestige market. "What I like in particular
about this package is that it defies expectations to become something
totally new and fresh in presentation." He furthers, "it's
both expected in its luxurious simplicity and unexpected in the design
overall." The globetrotting visionary summarizes ARTISTRY Creme
LuXury as "technology in a jar," and concludes, "It
feels very balanced and strong. I believe this is the most modern
representation of what we have seen yet from ARTISTRY."
We couldn't have said it better. |
