In the quiet suburb of Thornton, in Cape Town, there's a hidden treasure. It's a treasure that's
home to 15 families of children. |
Each
family is housed in a home, which has been sponsored by a corporate. It's not only corporates
that support the village though – Amway IBOs play a special role in supporting the children
at SOS Children's Village in Cape Town. Many IBOs based in Cape Town have already, collectively,
dedicated hundreds of hours to supporting staff and children at the SOS Village. Recently,
the village in Thornton played host to some representatives from Amway, from the US as well
as from South Africa. These are some of the pictures taken on that day…

There are almost 4000 children and 1700 caregivers being supported through the Family Strengthening Programmes in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, Mthatha, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, and Nelspruit; and the three community social centres in Qwa Qwa, Mathanjana and Sekhukhune.
