hat's why we have put a "Zero
Tolerance Policy" in place for IBOs
whose interest in international
expansion causes them to act before they
think about the broader impact of their
actions. It is important all IBOs refrain from
conducting business in new markets that
we have not officially announced as "open."
We ask that IBOs adhere to and help us to
enforce the Policy that includes the following: |
Do not import any product
or literature
The importation, use, or sale of privately
produced literature, tapes or other such
Business Support Materials (including
websites, email etc) in relation to the
AMWAY business is unauthorised. The
importation of any AMWAY supplied product
into a market for any reason including sales,
demonstration, or display is strictly prohibited.
Importation of products and promotional
materials without proper import licenses,
registrations, and labelling may subject the
violating IBO and AMWAY to substantial
fines, imprisonment, and confiscation of
materials and product and undermines the
reputation and goodwill associated with the
AMWAY trademarks and brand. It may also
seriously jeopardise AMWAY's ability to open
a market in the future.

Do not advertise for prospects in
an unlisted country or territory
Advertising for prospective IBO's in the
new market in any format is prohibited
both in the new market and the IBOs
home market. This includes flyers, bulletin
boards, misuse of business cards, publication
of meeting schedules, and seeking media
coverage. IBOs cannot participate in
"blind prospecting" by using phone books,
professional society membership lists, or use
mass communication methods such as spam,
TV merchandising channels or computer
networks to advertise the AMWAY
opportunity.
Do not imply or state that you are
an AMWAY employee
IBOs may neither state nor imply that
they are employees or representatives of
AMWAY Corporation or any of its affiliated
companies, nor may they say that they are
the exclusive representative of AMWAY in
any particular country.
Do not solicit "pre-applications"
or "declarations of intent"
No IBO-produced "pre-applications" or any
similar documents are authorised. "Lead
Forms", which are used only for an IBO's
internal use to collect information about
prospective IBOs, must NEVER be utilised as
"pre-applications" and are not legally binding.
The lead form must not be signed by the
prospective IBO, and a copy must not be left
with the prospect.

Do not visit new markets for the
purpose of recruiting people there
in the AMWAY business
Prospective IBO's who are residents of non-
AMWAY markets should not be invited to
any IBO-sponsored or company-sponsored
functions. Do not invite citizens of an unlisted
country or territory to any IBO-sponsored
function showing the AMWAY Sales Plan,
importing, selling AMWAY produced,
or provided products in an unopened
market not permitted. There are serious
consequences for initiating any of the actions
listed above including AMWAY exercising
its right to not accept an application in the
new market from anyone confirmed to
have violated the "Zero Tolerance Policy".
AMWAY may also withhold awards and
rewards within the Sales and Marketing plan
within an existing and/or new market or may
apply other sanctions impacting their ability
to operate their AMWAY business. If there
are any questions regarding the above please
contact the Business Relations Department. |
