 t
was Amway South Africa's pleasure to host the New Platinum
Forum 2007 weekend in Cape Town in November. |
A
few weeks of wet and windy weather proceeded the weekend, fortunately,
a lovely sunny day celebrated the arrival of our 2007 New Platinum
Achievers in Cape Town, where they checked in to the gracious Cullinan
Hotel in Cape Town.
The afternoon was spent touring the very interesting
"Castle" in Cape Town. Standing in the pitch blackness of
the slave quarters made us more appreciative of our roots and the
freedom we enjoy today.
The sunset was appreciated from the Alba Lounge
at the Waterfront, where the beautiful people gathered to
enjoy a cocktail party, serenaded by "Tomfoolery", a Latin
jazz style two-piece.
Raj, Clinton and Michelle shared invaluable information with the New
Platinums at the Business Session, before they were driven along the
most beautiful coastline in Africa, to the elegant Tarragon Restaurant.
Swathed in black white and silver, the colours of the New Platinum
Forum, the staff greeted the celebrants with a "Taste of the
Cape", introducing delicious new wines for tasting, to begin
the festivities of the Awards evening.

Guest
speakers Paolo and Pauline Scilipoti enthused, encouraged and
motivated us all with their address, highlighting the lessons
learned on their path to success within Amway, and reminding
us that we, in the living rooms of South Africa, are the Ambassadors
of Amway South Africa!
A dinner of Smoked Springbok Carpaccio, followed by "Peking
style" Duck with Spring Onion Pancakes were a precursor
to the heavenly Strawberry and White Chocolate Spring Rolls,
a delicious blend of champagne, sorbet and vodka, and just some
of the delights on offer!
Dancing completed a wonderful evening, which was, to quote one
of our guests, "filled with special people. Every word
spoken carried a message of freedom, family, hope and reward".
Congratulations to all our New Platinum Achievers! |
