Ruth Stewart

High school teacher
Johannesburg

"What a fortunate life I lead - at each turn I have been given opportunities to grow and develop as a person and none more exciting than the path along which I am now traveling," Ruth explains.

Ruth is a high school teacher by profession but has also tried her hand at several small businesses of her own. She is also an author and photographer and most recently she has worked as one of the editors of a leading lifestyle magazine. Ruth and her husband, Alistair, share a wonderful family life with their three children.

Each of the career journeys she has travelled has been fulfilling and stimulating but each has led her to the same point: a choice between being a balanced and cheerful mother and wife or a successful career woman. Finally she has found a space where she can be both, thanks to the Amway Business Opportunity.

When Ruth looks back over the past year, she is amazed at the changes in her life and she is not always sure whether she is building an Amway business or whether it is the business that is building her! Ruth does believe that the work involved in building a successful Amway business is demanding and challenging but the rewards, both personally and financially, are extra-ordinary. Ruth works in a team of people with integrity whom she admires and trusts.

She is exposed to the very best of business thinking and development in the market. Ruth is proud to admit that she is backed by a world-leading Corporation with the highest standards and ethics. For her, this business is about the people around her and this is why she can look forward with great confidence and joy to continuing her journey towards her dreams.

Erasmus & Rachel Gabriel
Self-employed business owner and banker
Namibia, Windhoek

Rachel and Erasmus embarked upon their Amway journey to success in June 2007. The team-work, coupled with the rewards of making an impact on other people's lives were the main motivating factors to joining the business.

Their lifestyle prior to Amway was characterised by long hours and very stressful working conditions. As a self-employed business owner and banker, Rachel and Erasmus were time-bankrupt. They have, however, noticed a marked difference in their lifestyle since building their business. Not only are they now able to spend more time watching television and supporting their favourite soccer team, Manchester United, but they believe that their general outlook on life has improved positively too.

In addition, the business opportunity has given them freedom of choice and new possibilities. Thanks to the support of their leaders, they are able to help others achieve their goals.

Reaching Platinum is merely a stepping stone towards higher qualifications, Rachel and Erasmus believe. They are now more motivated and excited after the realisation that financial income can become a reality within the short period of eleven months. Their encouragement to others, "all you need is trust in yourself, and you will reap the rewards" .

Attaining Emerald qualification within the next year is their top priority at the moment. Their positive outlook on life and the dreams they have set for themselves will undoubtedly drive their success in the business.

Rachel and Erasmus strongly believe in the motto, "Success starts with a dream and ends with a team". Such a belief certainly sums up their approach to the business opportunity.
