 Hein and Marthie live in Brits and have two
sons, Henk and Hein. Before they joined
Amway, they led a hectic, time-bankrupt
lifestyle. They therefore decided to search
for a way to improve the quality of their
lives. They also wanted to find an alternative
income source. As soon as they discovered
Amway, they stopped searching. They had
finally found the perfect solution.
Hein and Marthie have been actively
building their Amway business for the past
three years. As with any business, they have
had to overcome a few hurdles along the way.
For example, their demanding schedules
made it difficult for them to fit in time for
their new venture. However, they faced up
to the challenges and regarded them as
opportunities to learn. Before long, they
quickly learnt essential time-management
skills to manage their lives more effectively.

 Sara was introduced to the Amway business
in May 2005 and she saw it as an opportunity
to develop skills she desperately needed to
earn an income as an artist. Being a fulltime
mom and a painter, Sara had never
contributed financially, but now that their
four girls were growing up and becoming
independent it was time to support David
and try and reduce his stress levels! David
was sceptical at first, but the support Sara
was given to develop convinced them both
that Amway is where their future lies.
After 30 years in the construction Industry,
David is excited to be surrounded by
positive, motivated people. Moving into
semi-retirement, he is able to focus on the
business whilst putting something back into
engineering by way of dispute resolution
and mentoring young engineers.
Within the next year Sara and David will
reach Emerald and bring with them team
members who are willing to work hard for
a better future.
All parents want the best for their children
and David and Sara are proud that their
daughters are following in their footsteps,
gaining skills and knowledge that will make
a significant difference to their future and to
that of many others.
