Peter & Debbie Cox

Full-time IBOs

Sydney, Australia

For the past 19 years, Peter and Debbie's Amway business has been their life, but they are just getting started! In 1988, they were looking for an opportunity that could give Debbie the means to be self-employed and Peter more time to play golf. At that time, they were working a sixty-hour week and travelling nearly three hours to the office and back each day. In essence, they were spending more than they earned and were looking for options and freedom. And Amway has certainly given them what they dreamed of!

Peter and Debbie qualified as Crown Ambassadors in 2006 and are now focused on a Diamond qualification in South Africa. They are full-time parents and lead an unbelievable lifestyle in Sydney enjoying the luxuries of a chef and nanny. The family enjoys time on their boat during the week when the waterways are quite or otherwise relaxing around the pool at home. Developing a global business from Sydney while supporting their leadership and developing unity, loyalty and trust posed a challenge in the beginning. In addition, raising a young family while travelling was also difficult for Peter and Debbie. Lastly, having to understand people's personality profiles in order to connect with them demanded effort at first.

Their Founders Emerald qualification in South Africa means that their South African leadership is one step closer to their own dreams. Further, it encourages Peter and Debbie to continue the work for the South African market.

Peter and Debbie believe that Amway is the world's best business opportunity as it has a proven track record after nearly 50 years of operation with unbelievably high-quality products and a major emphasis on Health & Beauty which is in line with global consumer demands. Their words of encouragement to others, 'The Amway Business is leadership driven and to be successful you have to be effective not efficient.'

Mark & Symonah Joffe

Financial Planner and Beauty Therapist

Bedfordview, Johannesburg

In 1990, Mark and Symonah emigrated from Johannesburg to Sydney, Australia. Mark owned a financial planning business and Symonah was a beauty therapist. Both their children, Dean and Amy, were born in Australia. The family enjoyed a good lifestyle, but were time-bankrupt.

Symonah started their Amway business in Australia as she saw the opportunity of being an independent business woman and working from home. Mark, on the other hand, was initially not very keen to start a second business, but when he heard about the opening of the South African market in 1997, he became very excited about the opportunity and returning to his home country. Within the first month of the business in South Africa, Mark and Symonah went Ruby with only eleven products in market! If it was not for the Amway business, Mark and Symonah would not have returned to South Africa. The business has enabled them to spend quality time together as a family without the stresses that they used to have. They lead a relaxed lifestyle where their time is their own. The confidence and skills they have attained through the business, coupled with the uplifting environment, has had a positive effect on their children who enjoy acting.

Leaving her family in Australia was the biggest challenge for Symonah whilst building the business. In addition, Mark had to learn the skills of leadership and duplication which the financial planning industry does not require for success.

Reaching Founders Emerald is proof that their business is now very stable. Within the next year, Mark and Symonah are focused on creating more leadership in their business en route to a Diamond qualification.

To Mark and Symonah, Amway represents freedom in the form of being in control of their own diaries. 'The business lifts the lid on our thinking as we rub shoulders with billionaires and millionaires, but the true success of our business is being able to help others achieve their dreams so that we can achieve ours,' say Mark and Symonah excitedly.

Gerhard & Pauline Louwrens

Managing Director and Business Analyst

Pretoria

The opportunity to spend more time with each other and their family was Gerhard and Pauline's motivation to joining the Amway business four years ago.
As two very busy professionals in the corporate world, Pauline and Gerhard led a hectic lifestyle with little or no time for each other. Starting a family was posing a challenge as both of them were working full-time and the trade-off between giving up a professional income to get more time was very difficult to make.

The Amway business has allowed both Gerhard and Pauline to give up their jobs and spend more quality time together, enjoying their hobbies. The biggest challenge they had to overcome was working together. After being in positions where they could make decisions at work independently of each other, working together as a team seemed rather challenging in the beginning. However, working together has proved to be the most rewarding part of their business.

Founders Emerald means more financial stability for Gerhard and Pauline.
They have big goals for the next four years, and would like to see many more people change their lives, and build a better future for their families. They would also like to start a family of their own, now that both of them are in a position to be full-time parents, which has always been one of Gerhard's dreams.

To Gerhard and Pauline, Amway represents an opportunity to change more than just your financial future for the better; it is the opportunity to surround yourself with integrity and the highest values possible. There are no limits - you can build the business as fast as you choose.

Rudolf & Elizabeth Pienaar

Director and Home Executive

Pretoria

The opportunity to create a balance between time and money was Rudolf and Elsabe's motivation to joining the Amway business seven years ago. Elsabe also wanted to resign from her career as a senior economist and spend more time with their children.

Since joining the Amway family, Elsabe was able to resign from her full-time career. A feeling of financial security coupled with the ability to have options has certainly changed their outlook on life. In essence, Rudolf and Elsabe have enjoyed a complete 'life make-over'! Having a growing business from a stable platform is their reward for their hard work over the last years. Their Founders Emerald qualifi cation is proof that they are working with the best associates possible.

Rudolf and Elsabe believe that Amway represents a business partner 'par excellence'! They are proud to be associated with a corporation for whom integrity is nonnegotiable. World-class products complemented by staff who have all IBO's financial interests at heart, make Amway the world's best business opportunity. In addition, Amway offers the man on the street the opportunity to make a difference in his life, regardless of academic qualifications or prior business experience. Success can be achieved through a very low start-up cost and no risk.

Rudolf and Elsabe feel privileged to share the business opportunity with as many people as possible as they strive for higher qualifications. One fi nal thought from the Founders Emerald couple, 'Everybody who lives dies, but not everybody who dies, has lived. Why not live a life to die for?'
