Pawel Gregorz Jurkiewicz

Estate Agent
 Johannesburg
 The attraction of saving money
and financial freedom was Pawel's
motivation to joining the Amway
Business four years ago. Prior to that,
he was living at home with his parents
whilst studying law. He felt trapped and
stagnated. However, since becoming
part of the business, Pawel has
become fi nancially independent and
has also found the love of his life!
Perhaps the biggest hurdle he has
had to overcome whilst building his
business is accepting rejection from
others. He has also had to move out
of his comfort zone and learn how to
dream.
Pawel believes that his Platinum
qualification is merely a stepping stone
to a life in which he is able to fulfil his
dreams. He looks forward to the time
when he is able to watch each and
every Grand Prix live in one season!
Within the next twelve to fourteen
months, he hopes to become South
Africa's youngest leader and take as
many people as possible with him on
his journey to financial freedom.
Amway has undoubtedly given Pawel
direction in his life. He is appreciative of
the support and mentorship he has
received through the Amway family, as
well as the wisdom and guidance from
his parents.

Lea le Roux & Ronelle Kemp

Business Consultant and Ecologist
 Mpumalanga
Lea and Ronelle, both nature lovers,
wanted the financial freedom to own
a 'Big 5' nature reserve, to live on and
enjoy, without having to rely on tourists
to provide income.
Lea was a business consultant for one
of South Africa's leading investment
companies, with a good income.
However, she had little time to enjoy
it and longed to live in the bush.
Ronelle had ecological consulting,
landscaping and irrigation businesses,
and enjoyed working in beautiful
surroundings, but realised that her
income was wholly dependent on
staying healthy to work.
Since joining the Amway business three
and a half years ago, Lea was able
to move to the Lowveld. In between
building this business, she can now
hop into the Kruger National Park for
some bird watching.
Ronelle is now able to choose to do
only projects that she really enjoys.
They want to provide street children with
love, shelter, education and dignity,
through their future income from this
business.
Living in Marloth Park means no land
lines, bad roads, poor cellphone signal
and very few prospects, since only a
few, mainly retired people, live there
permanently. This meant very high
costs in building the business, since Lea
and Ronelle had to travel extensively to
show plans and have meetings. Their
Platinum qualification has proved that
such hurdles can be overcome and
further motivates them to achieve
Emerald within the next year.

Derek and Tania Lourens

Owners of a retail business
 Cape Town
Prior to enrolling with Amway in May
2003, Derek and Tania were operating
a retail business, which involved Derek
spending more time in the store, and
with clients, than with his family. He
dreaded his boys growing up without
him. Derek further realised that through
the Amway business model, he and
Tania could create a business asset for
their family's future.
Amway has given Derek and Tania the
opportunity to surround themselves
with winners, and people of great
vision. Such values and qualities were
foreign in their previous circle of friends
and upbringing.
Whilst building the business, Derek and
Tania have learnt that it's not what
happens to them that is important, but
how they respond.
Reaching Platinum truly illustrates to
Derek and Tania that Amway is an
opportunity for anyone with the will to
succeed. It represents a business that is
embedded with integrity and goodwill
for all. They believe that Amway is
creating a business model that will
be a future benchmark of value and
prosperity, against which all similar
businesses will be measured.
Derek and Tania have set their sights
on an Executive Platinum followed by
an Emerald Qualifi cation within the
next year. Along their journey to future
success, they hope to help many
other people lead lives of personal
gratification and prosperity.

Ruth & Lothar de Buhr

Self-employed automotive workshop owner
and language teacher
 Gaborone, Botswana
Ruth and Lothar arrived from Germany
in 1986. After spending time on
contract work in Sudan, Swaziland
and Botswana, the 'African Bug' bit
them and in 2000, they decided to
stay in Botswana and open their own
engineering business. In January 2004,
they joined Amway for the flexible
working hours, residual income and
environmentally-friendly products.
Amway has given Ruth and Lothar
confi dence and hope to fulfil their
dreams. It has also given them comfort
knowing that the future of their family
is secure.
Ruth and Lothar believe that Amway
represents a business opportunity
that offers the best products available
coupled with a future that is unmatched
by any other business. It holds no risk; it
offers anyone the opportunity to use an
existing system to succeed, without the
need to reinvent the wheel. In addition,
they are grateful for the wonderful
friendships for life they have made.
Reaching Platinum represents their
first big step to freedom. Within the
next twelve to fourteen months, Ruth
and Lothar have set their sights on
Emerald.
